Missed cutoff but finished the race

I recently ran a 52k in which I missed the cutoff, but finished the entire course. And now show a DNF for race…..this was NOT A DNF….I missed the cutoff
70 years old - 52K with 8000 ft of vert….period

I finished the hardest race of my life

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS! If I understand correctly, you’re suggesting a feature that would allow you to comment on your race effort so that the “DNF” designation (in this case) is balanced by the other facts of finishing the hardest race of your life. Please comment if you want to nuance that or add to it. I think something like this is a great idea and we’ll bring it into our considerations for the future! Thank you!

I would think that would just be considered an “Unofficial Finish”, which is already an option. The RD is able to change that manually in the results

In this case we still give them a finish because they finished… event passed cutoff. We have them send GPS data to verify finish if we pack up and leave
