Search/filter by elevation data

I was just thinking that it would be nice if one could search by elevation changes. It would be nice if the total descent, total ascent and elevation change per mile was filter-able, or at least required data for each race distance listed. It’s a lot of work sometimes to find that info sifting through the race listing and race website. It would significantly reduce the time needed to narrow down races with the amount of climbing or descending one is looking for, especially when RDs should already have that info.

This is a great idea. It would help runners find races tailored to their needs. This could replace the “difficulty” filter allowing runners to have more specific data to plan their races with.

We love this idea, too. We’ll need to source this data in order to leverage it in Search, but once we have enough of it, we expect it to become pretty valuable. No timeline on this yet as we’re starting with some other search improvements first, but this will remain on our list.
