Relay orders not getting linked to team

Relay participant orders are not consistently linking to their teams, even when registration has occurred through the proper invitation flow. This results in unlinked orders appearing in the Relay Admin > Unlinked Relay Orders list and requires manual intervention to resolve on a daily basis.
