Races are getting expensive, and many older runners are now or will be on a fixed income. Ultra Running has a decent number of older runners and continued participation in ultra runs should be encouraged. An automatic way to allow Race Directors to offer a discount based on the registrants age (lets say over 55 or 60) would be great and would encourage more to continue to partcipate. This should be fairly simple, as you already know everyone’s age. RunSignUp.com already has this feature.
